Project Details: Turgai Paleozoic Exploration Project
The Turgai Paleozoic Exploration Project aims to expand the resource base of KMG through targeted geological exploration, focusing on the discovery of raw hydrocarbons. This initiative is conducted under Exploration and Production Contract No. 4958-УВС-МЭ, signed on August 24, 2021.
Project Overview
Site Area:
The project encompasses an extensive area of 5,679.95 km², offering significant potential for hydrocarbon exploration.Prospective Targets:
Three promising targets have been identified for exploration: PZ-1, PZ-2, and PZ-3. These targets were determined using high-resolution 3D seismic data from the Akshabulak field, along with lower-resolution seismic data, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the geological features.
Objectives and Expected Outcomes
The primary objective of the Turgai Paleozoic Exploration Project is to uncover new hydrocarbon reserves that can enhance KMG’s production capabilities and overall resource portfolio. By utilizing advanced seismic technologies and thorough geological assessments, the project aims to:
Discover Raw Hydrocarbons:
Identify and evaluate new hydrocarbon deposits, contributing to the company’s growth and sustainability.Enhance Resource Base:
Expand KMG’s resource base, ensuring long-term energy supply and operational viability.
The project embodies KMG’s commitment to innovative exploration techniques and responsible resource management, setting the stage for future energy developments in the region
