The opening ceremony of the 29th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference KIOGE-2024, held from September 25 to 27 in Almaty, was attended by the RK Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliev, Minister of Energy of the UAE Suheil Al-Mazroui, CEO of RG GAZ LLP Askhat Khassenov, as well as more than 700 representatives of the oil and gas industry from 25 countries.
The stands of RG GAZ LLP and its subsidiaries—Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP, Kazmortransflot NMSC LLP, KazTransOil JSC, RG GAZ Engineering LLP, and Embamunaigas JSC—showcased achievements and modern technologies in the industry. The presented Dispatching and Analysis Center of RG GAZ LLP monitors and analyzes oil and gas production, transportation, and refining processes online.
RG GAZ Engineering’s stand highlighted developments such as the application of tools based on artificial intelligence and computer vision. These inventions have already been used to create the Tumar system, a software platform for enhancing industrial safety at production sites by automatically identifying production processes, hazardous areas, and more. The development of the ABAI information system for RG GAZ LLP oil and gas production companies is ongoing, with a demonstration of this actively implemented system in the RG GAZ Group.
At the exhibition, interested suppliers can utilize the Pilot Testing Center, designed to process incoming pilot test applications and proposals based on the “one-stop-shop” principle. The KPI plant presented samples of polymer products made from the polypropylene it manufactures. One company in Almaty uses this material to produce marketable plastic chairs, basins, buckets, tanks, crates, and containers, as well as components for chairs, while a carpet factory in Shymkent uses it to make high-quality carpets for export to China. KazTransOil’s stand demonstrated the complex technologies used in pipeline system operations. Kazmortransflot showcased its new oil tankers, Taraz and Liwa, which joined the Kazakh maritime fleet last year, to participants and guests of the exhibition.
